Managing Broker
Mark Miller
Mark came to real estate the long way around, and he will tell you the detour is the part that made him good at it.
The long way around
Mark came to real estate the long way around. He spent years in printing and graphic design first. Different world from home sales, but it taught him to notice the small stuff and care about how things look before they go out the door. That detailed approach has stayed with him and still shows up in his work today.
Then came the stretch that shaped him most. Mark was a stay-at-home dad, starting when his youngest was one. Diapers, school drop offs, and every small daily problem in between. He'll tell you that time taught him more about patience and problem solving than any job he'd had before it. He made the jump into real estate in 2019 and brought all of it with him.
As his career grew, Mark stepped into the role of team leader, where his focus grew to helping other agents build their businesses. Leading a team showed him how much clear communication, good systems, and steady support matter in real estate transactions. Today he serves as the Managing Broker at Catalyst Realty Group, where he carries those same priorities into the brokerage.
Where he lives
Home is a tucked away neighborhood in Fairlawn, just outside Akron. Quiet, a little hidden, with bigger yards than you'd expect this close to everything. Grocery stores and good restaurants are minutes away. Mark likes that you can feel like you're out in the country until you remember you're not.
The playlist
Ride along with him and you get the playlist. People tell him it's a good one and he takes the compliment happily. 90s alternative and grunge, classic rock, a little country, some hip hop, a little Christian music. He keeps it random on purpose so he never knows what's coming. Those small surprises make a long drive more interesting.
What he wishes more buyers and sellers knew
Ask what he wishes more buyers and sellers knew and he doesn't hesitate. Build a team around you, and remember you get to choose who's on it. It's easy to call the friend who happens to be an agent. But this is one of the biggest financial decisions you'll ever make, whether you're buying a home or a rental property. Talk to a few people first. Work with someone you genuinely trust. That matters more than convenience.
What makes his day
Two small things still make his day. A kind word from a client or someone on his team, and the dog sitting at the door waiting when he gets home. That one happens every time.
