REALTOR®
Mark Platts
Mark grew up in Leeds, England, and he was buying and selling houses for fun long before he ever got his license.
From Leeds to Copley
He and his wife moved to Copley because her family is from here. That's how a kid from Leeds ended up calling Summit County home.
Real estate runs in the family
Mark's interest in real estate started early. His dad worked in the building trade, so houses were part of everyday life growing up.
He bought his first investment property right out of college. Over the years he bought and sold several more houses on his own. Becoming an agent was the natural next step, because it meant helping other people do what he'd been doing for fun.
If you're thinking about a rental or your first investment property, you'll be working with someone who has made those same decisions with his own money.
Where you'll find him
Mark's favorite local spot is Szalay's Sweet Corn Farm. When he's not there, he's usually on the trails down in the valley, running or on his bike.
The tea rule
Mark's mornings start with coffee and a large glass of water. The afternoon is for English tea. He doesn't drink iced tea or herbal tea. It has to be English tea.
The bucket list
At the top of Mark's list is a trip to Australia to watch England play Australia in The Ashes. If you don't follow cricket, The Ashes is the long-running series between the two countries, and seeing it in Australia is the dream.
